  Calender Release (11th May 2008)

  In April I was approached to photograph a fundraising calendar (www.wildonsaxton.co.nz) with the photographs to be taken 'as soon as possible'. I knew nothing about portraiture but accepted the challenge.

  The first photo shoot took place the following day and the first model was my cousin Annie (pictured) and she was much more relaxed than the photographer, who had a bad case of nerves and was fumbling with a borrowed lens she had never used before! The hardest part was keeping the horse still as the sandflies were atrocious.

  We had some beautiful weather and I made the most of the morning and evening light and the photo shoots were all completed in one week.
