Collyer House is named after a gentleman who used to be the Ferryman on the Okuru River. He also set up the first school in the area and taught my grandfather.
The house has been built against a backdrop of ancient rain forest and every room has magnificent views of the beautiful Okuru Estuary and the Tasman Sea.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and the history of this remote place with my guests. When time allows I am only too happy to share some special places with keen photographers. It is my aim to carry on a family tradition of great hospitality.
